What this site collects

No accounts, no forms, no newsletter, no comments. We do not set cookies and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics tags that profile you.

Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font CDN, so loading a page here does not disclose your IP address to a third-party font provider.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — to serve pages, defend against attacks and produce aggregate traffic counts. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms, and the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

When you follow a link out

Links to GetYourGuide and other booking platforms may carry a tracking parameter identifying this site as the referrer. If you follow one, that platform can set its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Nothing is shared with them until you click. See the affiliate disclosure for what those links are.

Links to road.is, vedur.is, safetravel.is and the national park are plain links with no tracking attached.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data held about you, object to processing, or complain to your national data protection authority. In practice we hold no personal data about visitors beyond the host-level logs described above, so there is usually nothing to retrieve — but write to hello@jokulsarlon-glacier-lagoon.online and we will confirm that in writing.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect nothing from them.
